Students Awards

Recognizes the overall outstanding Senior student for her/his outstanding academic performance, leadership, and service to the academic community. The Overall Outstanding Senior honoree will be selected from the Outstanding Departmental Senior honorees. The awardee will receive an honorarium of $500. 

Recognizes one (1) full-time engineering Senior from each department, who has exhibited outstanding academic performance, leadership, and service to the academic community. The awardee will receive an honorarium of $500. Each department decides their awardee.

Recognizes a a NCE Senior student (or group of Senior students) who have demonstrated involvement in an innovative design project in any NCE design course or project.  The awardee will receive an honorarium of $500.​

Recognizes a female student pursuing an undergraduate degree in one of NCE’s disciplines, who excels in academics and leadership. The awardee will receive an honorarium of $500.

Recognizes one full-time engineering graduate student in NCE who has exhibited outstanding academic performance, innovation in research, and service to the department and the academic community. The awardee will receive an honorarium of $500. 

Recognizes the author of a doctoral dissertation, who had graduated from NJIT with a Ph.D. degree no earlier than three years prior to the year during which the award is given. The dissertation is judged based on its scientific and technical merits, its contribution to the pertinent body of knowledge, and, when appropriate, its practical application. The awardee will receive an honorarium of $1000.

Recognizes an NCE student chapter/branch of a professional society that has made outstanding contributions to the professional development of its students, contributed to the needs of the University and community through its activities, and supported the goals of one of the NCE departments.  The organization will receive $500.
