The First-Year Design Showcase is a collaborative event between the Newark College of Engineering and the NJIT Learning Communities. This event is an opportunity for these students to show off their great work, share ideas with peers and earn top awards.
The NCE Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP) offers NJIT students a unique opportunity to contribute towards meeting one or more of the fourteen grand challenges for engineering while meeting program competencies – multidisciplinary, talent (research/creative), business/entrepreneurship, and global dimension (multicultural and social consciousness). Students will pick from one of the four themes outlined for NJIT and tie it in their work towards meeting the competencies.
The Pre-College Summer Boot Camp is to aid students in the learning process of developmental mathematics as students to the college atmosphere. Incoming first-time full-time freshmen placed in Math-107, Math-108, or Math-110 are encouraged to participate.
The STEM Boot Camp is meant for NJ students with a confirmed Fall 2024 Admission at a Community College or University. The boot camp covers foundation mathematics for stem degrees and real-world applications of science and mathematics concepts with supplemental instruction sessions in the NJIT Makerspace.
The STEM Success Academy is meant for NJ Community College students interested in pursuing a BS or higher degree in Engineering. It covers fundamentals and interdisciplinary topics in engineering with hands-on essentials of prototyping sessions in the NJIT Makerspace.
