STEM Boot Camp

The STEM Boot Camp is meant for NJ students with a confirmed Fall 2024 Admission at a Community College or University. The boot camp covers foundation mathematics for stem degrees and real-world applications of science and mathematics concepts with supplemental instrucitions sessions in the NJIT Makerspace.

Who is eligible?

Any New Jersey student with a confirmed Fall 2024 admission at a Community College or University. 

What topics will be covered?

  • Foundation mathematics for stem degrees
  • Real-world applications of science and mathematics concepts
  • Supplemental instruction:
    • STEM focused hands-on activities and workshops in the NJIT Makerspace including 3D modeling - Computer Aided Design (CAD), additive manufacturing, generative design, etc.
    • College success skills development
    • NJIT Makerspace activities

Is there a cost?

The boot camp will be free of charge and will include tutoring and peer mentor support. All participants are expected to maintain 80% or higher attendance and participation in all activities.

Tentative Dates:

July 1 – August 8 (Five weeks, final dates will be announced in June).
