Center Management

Kamalesh K. Sirkar, distinguished professor of chemical engineering and sponsored chair in membrane separations and biotechnology , is center director, responsible for the overall management of the center's program and research activities. He will carry out coordination between different research projects and communication with member corporations.

Marino Xanthos, associate professor of chemical engineering at NJIT, will coordinate efforts in Microstructure Development in Membranes.

C. Stewart Slater, professor and chair of chemical engineering at Rowan University, will manage the activities of the Applications Development and Infrastructure Initiatives.

Patrick J. Sinko, associate professor of pharmaceutics at Rutgers University, will provide leadership in Membrane-based Controlled Release and related activities.

Somenath Mitra, associate professor of chemistry at NJIT, will spearhead efforts on Membranes for Analytical and related applications.
